I am Jonathan “Jon” Jagmis Discipulo, born in Manila, Philippines.

As far as my logical skills is concerned, I am a programmer who loves to make solutions to known and potential problems. I have many innovative ideas yet I don’t have the luxury of time to implement them all. I started programming at the age of 11 when I was exploiting GWBASIC and its PLAY command. From there, I learned QuickBASIC, Turbo Pascal and and C/C++. I got interested on web and desktop programming languages that is C-based like Perl.

Now, I am utilizing most of today’s web programming languages and technologies, combining them to make web applications. To sum up, I am capable of combining PHP, MySQL, Flash, Javascript, HTML and CSS when developing a site or web application. I am also able to hook applications with Facebook and Twitter API as well as Google APIs.

Considering my design skills, I am an artist by nature. My dad is a musical composer and a singer while  my mom is a creative writer and an anthropologist. I adapted both of their skills. I play the piano and other musical instruments. I love soul and pop music. My mom used to teach me writing essays that leads to improving my technical writing skills. Aside from writing and singing, I have developed designing skills on my own through research and experience. I design websites mostly with earth-toned colors. I am more of creating clean layouts rather than coming up with funky designs. As long as the interface is usable, clean and soothing to eyes, I would definitely go for it.
